Volunteer Ireland and the network of Volunteer Centres are looking for your input for the creation of a Volunteer Charter volunteers and volunteer involving organisations in Ireland. This project forms part of the National Volunteering Strategy 2021 – 2025.

The National Volunteering Strategy (2021 – 2025) sets out a long-term vision for volunteering and volunteers in Ireland. The Strategy sets out a general direction for government policy in relation to the volunteers and the volunteering environment. It also builds upon and strengthens the renewed relationship and partnership between Government and the voluntary sector which has developed during the course of its preparation.

By implementing the Volunteer Charter an organisation will be creating a clear foundation of its relationship with volunteers and by ensuring the charter is followed, generating an increased quality in the volunteering experience.

Whether you are a small or big volunteer involving organisation, or you are a volunteer yourself – we would love to hear your ideas and feedback to help us create a simple and useful Volunteer Charter that will speak to all.
